2015 Vestry Motion: Take Action on Climate Change

Our Baptismal Covenant calls us as Christians to “sustain and renew the life of the earth.” However, rapid changes to the earth’s climate are already beginning to create environmental and social catastrophes that require immediate action.

We invite parishes in the Diocese of Toronto to take action on climate change at their 2015 vestry meetings by discussing and passing this year’s vestry motion. It includes some background on the impacts of climate change for your reference:

2014-2015 Outreach and Advocacy Prayer Cycle

The Outreach and Advocacy Prayer Cycle has been updated for the 2014-2015 liturgical year. You can find it on the Advocacy Resources page. The Prayer Cycle contains intercessions to share the Good News of how Anglicans reach out to people in need across the diocese and beyond by showing God’s love in action.
