Visual Identity

The Diocese of Toronto’s logo (right) is the single most important element of the diocese’s visual identity program. Parishes are encouraged to incorporate the logo on their communication materials. Parishes may choose to use the logo for their own visual identity, or they may decide to use it along with their existing logo.

The shield is the historic heraldic connection; the crosier and key are emblems of ecclesiastical authority; the dove represents the Holy Ghost, messenger of peace and deliverance; and the flames indicate the presence of God, prophetic vision, and mission.

The Diocese’s Visual Identity Standards Manual gives clear guidelines for use of the Diocese’s logo. Below are the electronic files of the Diocese’s logo and tagline in various formats. (Please note that you will probably be unable to open the eps files, since these are used by graphic designers who have the necessary software.)
