Bishop Linda Nicholls is area bishop for the episcopal area of Trent-Durham. She was ordained priest in 1986 and holds a doctorate in ministry from Wycliffe College.

She was the incumbent of the Parish of Georgina from 1987 to 1991 and Holy Trinity, Thornhill, from 1991 to 2005. At the time of her election, she was the Co-ordinator for Dialogue (Ethics, Interfaith Relations and Congregational Development) with the Anglican Church of Canada.

Bishop Nicholls was elected suffragan bishop of Toronto on Nov. 17, 2007. She was consecrated bishop on Feb. 2, 2008, and was installed as area bishop of Trent-Durham on March 1, 2008.

The Trent-Durham episcopal area

The Trent-Durham episcopal area has 43 parishes and 61 churches in small towns, rural communities, and rapidly growing urban areas along the lakeshore. It is the largest geographical area of the Diocese of Toronto, stretching from Pickering to Brighton and from Lake Ontario to Haliburton.

The Ven. Gordon Finney is the archdeacon of Trent-Durham.
